Depends on if you want to spend money or not.

Is your site optimized for the search engines? If you want search engine traffic then obviously this is a priority.

There are of course many other ways of getting traffic such as PPC but they can be quite expensive, especially in a competitive market.

The best way I found to get traffic is a combination of link building and social bookmarking. Certain sites seem to deliver a lot more traffic than others but this isn't always a good thing if the traffic doesn't hang around.

Try adding your site to sites like Digg, Propeller, StumbleUpon and search for other Social Bookmarking sites.

Do lots of link building. I just posted this on another thread. Hope this helps

There are several ways to build links. Here are just some of the following:

Directory Submissions - targeted links at high PR directories
Blog and Forum Postings - to high PR and frequently crawled sites
Social Bookmarking
Classified Ads
Article Marketing - submit to high PR directories, could also serve as link baits
Link Exchange - with relevant and authority sites
Link Baits - for organic linking
Etc. etc.

I think that you have to add blog on your web site and work on it over. Only in this case you will get more trafic.

Try to build links naturally to your site and also try Link bait, If u are good at it u will get tons of one way links pointing to your site.

Ah, the infamous SEO question. My best advice:
1. Submit, submit and submit some more - If you see any directory (search engines should find you, or they are not doing a good job) add yourself too it.
2. Optimization - Make sure your website is at it's most effiecent (Using good CSS/code).
3. Accessibility - Loads of people have trouble using websites. Try to make it as easy to us to all users (ask yourself "can a poor sighted person read this?").
4. Content is king - Have lots of content, think of google like an dog, the more you feed it, the more it will come back (Or send visitors in this case).
5. Spend! - Spend some money on your site...

Hope this helps

Content maybe king but no one is going to come if they don't know about your site. Market your site in signatures on forums and email.
