vBulletin, obviously.

phpBB has more holes than a hookers' tights.

This isn't even a competition.

Free buggy one VS. paid good one.

I vote for the good one.

vBulletin has much higher security and more professional companies/communities use it for that reason

This belongs in development software.

VB: Not cheap, but you get what I pay for, I love my copy of VB

phpBB: Free, cumbersome and annoying. it is hard to mod and comes with few of the advanced features VB comes with.

In the end, you get what you pay for.

A few months ago I found some forum software that I like just as much as vBulletin (of course, depending on what its being used for)... Except that these are far more expensive.

I know you may not like me saying this, but the price for VB is way too much for me, I use a board system called MyBBoard. Ive used them on my recent forum about Wiis (link in sig) and I think there great

Links: MyBBoard

N.B. The link in your sig should be www.wiiroom.net/forum not ../forums/
