  Old  Exclusivity contract?

Hello. I am a new local producer who owns a recording studio, a local record label contacted me and we started talking and working together on some albums and talk came up with only working with them if they only work through me.
Is there any way i can get a contract written up or where i can find a sample clause to use to have them sign having them agree and be contracted to only work through me so neither of us get screwed from just a verbal contract.

i have been burned (bad) several times in the past and i am trying to prevent this from happening again.

This is probably better suited for a law specific forum since most of the contractors here are web dev based. I would assume that a exclusivity contract in the music industry would have to outline specific functions that must be exclusive so there isn't likely anyone here who can assist with that.

I would advise taking this to a layer and having him make a contract. There may even be certain laws in your location that relate to this; no one here is likely to know.

I agree with VG: the best answer to this question will not come from crowd sourcing through a web developer's forum.

I recommend that you locate a lawyer who has knowledge of the music industry and experience working in it. If you are in the US, the American Bar Association has information about finding a specialist lawyer on its website and many of its chapters provide a referral service. The volunteer lawyers for the arts groups may also be a good place to start a search, although they are for non-profit groups.
