For creating any logo, it’s better to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe illustrator. Before creating any logo first check the competitor website logo and search some logo style on Google.
Sketch any logo on the paper. The logo must be present your company name and represent your works.
Final redraw this final logo on the Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.

Agreed, logos are a great way of branding. I think all Goo2o stores have this in-built facility of creating and uploading of logos. For more info you can see their presentation.

One thing to remember is that if at any point you are going to have your logo on print material like Flyers or Banners, Business Cards etc, then it's better to have your logo designed in Illustrator so that it is a Vector image. It will be high quality and no matter how big your logo needs to be (even billboard size), it will never pixelate. Unfortunately with Photoshop is that it rasterizes images. Therefore if you had to increase the size to put it on a Billboard, you'd see all the little square pixels.

I would agree with creative designs. Prefer Illustrator over photoshop
And create a logo that has unique look dont copy any other company's or site's logo and avoid creating logo that has some message written on it

Use Photoshop. It's one of the best tools for raster designs, however, if you plan to use the image aside from your website, it's best to make a vector quality of that image.

Brainstorm first on what kind of "look" you want your logo to have and then transfer your ideas onto paper through a sketch. It's always good to have a rough draft before you start working on the design using the computer.
