who needs 1gig a second?
my connection could be faster but its not slow enough to make me pay over 200$ a month for somthing i can't use to its full potential "yet"

one is one gigaBIT
the other is one gigaBYTE

i forget which is which

but 1 byte = 1 bit so if you have a 1000mbit connection divide by 8 to see what its maximum throughput is in bytes (so 1000 / 8 = whatever)

well yeah. . . but thats doesn't change anything about the speed though, 1gb is still amazingly fast
