A question for webdesigners/programmers who do "login" sites!
I am a webdesigner and I am being asked to design a site which has an open-style page with a portfolio and such for a Model Photographer. That I am used to doing, but he also wants a login section for models so they can go in and view the images of them and such. I was going to add in a simple messanger service between models maybe with basic profiles or something.
This type of PHP and programming and website design all put together would cost how much? A guestimation, ballpark, or range would be extremely helpful!
And also, how much would it usually cost to outsource that kind of PHP coding?

As I said before...
PHP for login scripts, for an internal message service, uploading images from a user friendly interface, profiles, etc.

For all these functions, I would say between $100-$200 range.

I think you're selling yourself short. I wouldn't do that amount of work for under $300.

I would say just for a login script plus db, a minimum of $30 or $40. But depending on the dept of the project it could range from $3- $100, or even more if it requires a more complex script

Nor would I. There is a substantial amount of effort requires to make a secure and efficient uploader script. Not to mention a Private Messaging System and secure login.
30-40 dollars is asinine.
