  Old  class attention

I'm wanting your opinon on an observation I made in class last week. In 'fundamentals of design' class I notice the teacher comments, critiques and advise everyone in class except me

In a class that's 5hrs long she didn't come to me once, except standing at the back of the class and commenting, "nice picture of city hall". While for other students she checked multiple times, giving them advise on the project.

Not once has she visited me say, "hey, you're doing well" or any crap like that.
What the heck is up with that? I mean, i might know what I'm doing but atleast give a little advise. I'm not paying all that cash for anyone to ignore me in class.

It's really an observation at the moment so I'll wait a few classes and see what's up. In addition to all this, the practically robbed me in my last assignment.

I know what you mean.. altough I don't pay, it's rather annoying.
I had an art exam (10 hours long) and I didn't receive any comments or helpfull information

Edit: I can understand if your very good at the subject, but I'm not...

We have all been there, you put your hand up and the teacher never picks you... do you really need someone to tell you what your doing is amazing? your own opinion is the one that counts.

Yeah, you really should just be satisfied that you're doing good and that she's not harping at your every second of class. If you're in dire need of attention, buy a dog.

Obviously she feels that you are in need of little attention, maybe theres others in the class that aren't too good and need that little extra attention to boost their confidence. I would take it as a compliment rather that a disrespect. Personally i don't like people on my back all the time, i like to complete something before anyone views it.

There's not always going to be someone to pat you on the back in life--stop expecting it.

Sadly, I have to teach my graphic designer teacher new things all the time.

He could feel the inverse, this could make him feel like all his pictures (I think it is) are bad and she just can't help him.

I think that you should give yourself a creative license to take the projects further on class time if she never checks what your doing.

well guys, thanks for the comments.

Very funny what jeff said, "buy a dog". i cracked up at that one.

However, my problem isn't attention guys. I don't want her not critiquing but when time comes to mark the project, then she starts to talk crap cuz that's gonna seriously annoy me. It's not fair.

I'm not bother my the attention. Frankly, I don't want it but I do want contructive comments. Hey, it's why we all come and post in the 'gallery display' here at TF. So why won't i want the teacher who's salary i'm paying to give me her professional advise? Is that not what I'm paying for? I don't give a crap if i'm good or not...let me know how I'm doing so I can know if to improve or just do BETTER. That's my point.

Talk to her either out of class time, or during the class when you want comments.
