Old  Setting laptop display as secondary display

Display properties (Laptop display):

Display properties (CRT monitor):

What my dilemma is, I want to change my laptop display to the secondary one, and have my CRT as the primary.

It's a standard CRT, 17". It connects via VGA cable, to my GeForce Go 7600.

Anyone have some suggestions?
I've tried a few different drivers to no avail.

Regards,
Jeff

ultramon works to fix this and also gives you more options

http://realtimesoft.com/ultramon/

do not use the beta.

I have ultramon, but don't see anywhere within the program to be able to switch which screen contains the start menu/sys tray as opposed to the secondary task bar.

edit------

Think I may have found the setting, however I cannot change it:

Anyone know of a solution?

I assume your doing this via your main screen so go into your properties.

> click the 2 monitor and select "extend windows desktop'
> now the tick box above should be available to check check that and apply settings.

May or may not work. Will work with my laptop when i've just tried it though. Do this from the main computer that will be running both screens. If that makes sense.
