This one is a great price and just what I need. Does anyone have it- or had any good/ bad experiences with it?

I agree with Tom, Also one of my school PE teachers has one like that and as far as I know has never had any problems with it.

I own this drive, and I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it. It's sexy, and works great.

I own the WD MyBook 160gb version (the regular one, not premium) and I love it. The only parts I don't like is the noise and the fact that there is no switch for on off, just a button.

I really like the idea/look of their new passport drive. Looks snazzy.

Well- Its more than the 500gig and its only 250. Looks nice thought but not nice enough to lose 250 gigs.

This same discussion was had a short while back when I was looking for an external drive: http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread38966.html

In the end, I went with the WD 500gb MyBook and I absolutely love it.

Yeah, there is the price range difference. The big advantage though is that if you're mobile a fair bit... the passport would be best because it is bus powered. No bulky adapter to carry with you. (And it's a slimline design).
