Laptop Question - Which is better?

Ok, I need to get a laptop & now I've got each person telling me theirs is the better laptop & I'm getting confused.

Pls. let me know your thoughts, but only if you know specifically that one unit is better than the other.

Why IBM?

Both are horrid, they won't even run WINDOWS XP. Well I guess one will. Save your money for a HP and get a new one that is half decent.

Personally I would go with a Mac

256mb ram won't do too well on XP lol

I still miss where you posted the second one has XP though..

Save up and buy a new laptop when you can afford it. These are already WAY out-dated.

If I were to buy a laptop I wouldn't settle for less than 1GB of RAM.

I don't think you guys heard (or read, hehe) her, those are the only 2 she can choose from.

I think the second one is much better in the way you described it.
