Yahoo! Directory Listings
Would you say that Yahoo! Directory listings are worth $300 or would that be a waste of money?
Please share your opinions.
Thank you.

It is $300 per year... not a one time payment. I would say no.

It is only 25$ / month. Most niche directories charge that much. It seems google gives weight to yahoo directory links like it does for dmoz listing. Also it will be helpful in Yahoo SERP. The only thing i hate about yahoo directory is.. there is no guarantee for inclusion and no refund if not included.

Yes spending 300$ for single link only for one year is totally wastage of money. My suggestion is for same price you will buy more permanent links with good pr value off course...

i have submitted an authority, nonprofit site in a very small niche -- site gets about 350-400 uniques a day, rank at #1 for keyword on all major SEs, all original, high quality content, has been up since 2000, no ads of any sort, it's even in DMOZ! -- and I can't get it into the yahoo directory for free. ive submitted so many times but it never gets included!
im beginning to think that they just ignore all free submissions and there is just a huge backlog of them.

i want to reinforce this. if you have to buy a link into yahoo, you're site isn't good, and you should spend $300 making it better.
i don't know anyone who uses the directory part of yahoo, and if you just build a good site, you'll get SERP traffic
