Old  Is this a good deal...

Hey, Im looking for a low cost laptop. Will be used for photoshop/ dreamweaver/ internet / movies. Not interested in gaming.

Would you say this laptop is a good deal:

£300 delivered with full battery upgrade. Should I go for this one or would you recommend something different. Im not sure about what the processor is like on this one.

I would get a laptop with the intel cpu. My house mate just got a new Inspiron with 1.76ghz dual core intel, 2gb ram, 120gb hdd for about £350.

I reckon you get this one.

It's not mega powerful so I would suggest you upgrade the CPU. Though it's a Proper Core 2 Duo so it should be fine for what your doing. Also If you doing Photoshop, Opt for the 1440x900 res screen

I think I will wait a bit until there are new offers on and I have enough money earned off the websites I have.

I got my Gateway laptop for $500 USD on sale. It sometimes drops to $400 USD. They might not have it in the UK. Its a Gateway ML6720. Dual core Intel CPU, 1gb ram, 120gb hdd, vista home premium, dvdrw.

where did you get it from?

Was considering this one for £386 and possibly another 5% discount in a couple days time + quidco to make the price only £350ish:

17inch screen would be nice. Opinion?

also is the truelife screen worth it?

Yes, that's pretty decent. I would pay the extra £90 and get the HD res screen. It would be defiantly worth it if your getting a 17"

I highly recommend getting the 9cell battery if you plan to be mobile.

Probably won't be that mobile with it atleast not for long periods of time. May require more battery in a few months time though but I assume I can upgrade and buy the battery at the time but £20 isnt much more to spend really.

edit: battery doesnt have an option to upgrade How long would the laptop last on a full 6 battery? roughly.
