You cannot product the same products in each.

Technically, the ability to edit some of the vectors hear-after in PS is lacking compaired to fireworks, however you can create most anything that Fireworks offers in PS(or PS's counterpart, Illustrator.). Fireworks on the other hand can not mimic most of the bitmap abilities that PS offers.
