I don’t think it’s strict enough, I agree with Bazza’ about how TalkFreelance used to be a relaxed environment but now, new members have come in and I think it has gone downhill.
There is a lot more arguing and flaming on the forums now, I don’t mind debating, but just throwing abuse at people is started to happen more and more. I don’t want to mention names, but I think everyone must have noticed it.
Also, people typing one word posts like “lol”, what a waste of space? I think its stupid; maybe there should be a minimum word count for posts or something? People will probably disagree with it but I just think it would be a good idea, would get conversation flowing better and just make the forum look as mature as it was when I joined back in the good old days of August 2005.
Also, I think when you sign up, there should be a page with the rules, I don’t know if it is possible but I think it would help, and people will probably read them if it is right in front of them when they sign up.
Just my opinions of TalkFreelance, one of the main reasons why I enjoyed this community was because of its relaxed and mature environment, but now it has seemed to get more and more childish, with people talking like they are on gaming forums,"
