Thanks for your concern CPR.

With your logic, I surely hope you no longer utilize eBay given that you can no longer see the individual making bids on any item.

I use eBay quite often to set the record straight, but you see we don't have the various features you get when using email in regards to verification and seller trustworthiness. In this case we just have some past nuances.
Anyway. We'll just see in 11 days or whatever it is if the site is really sold.
If it is, bravo. If it isn't.. well.. you know.

You want to see who is making bids but then whine that since it's anonymous then it must be those affiliated with the TFL sale that are making bids.
Again with your logic you shouldn't even bother using ebay. You cannot see who is bidding on an item if you are another buyer. You don't want to bid on an item that has people affiliated with the sale making bids since they're essentially anonymous to all but the seller .

You're taking this off on a tangent here.
As I was referring to seller ratings etc, as well as most things that you'd buy on ebay aren't one of a kind items that can easily be copied to resale.
I'm not denying it happening on ebay, I'm saying that it's a much more stringent environment / very different from this scenario.
Anyway, it's clear you just want to argue. If you knew anything about TFL then you'd know that I'm a huge fan and want the best for the site. Been here for many years and was up until recently an administrator here.
ps. Salathe, thinking that new mercedes you've been eying would be a nice fit, assuring the site sells big! But, I guess we'll have to persuade the new owner!

Actually you are wrong. If there have been bids on an ebay item, other buyers who have not placed a big can see the first letter of the other bidders name.
Example:
I***t
Also, you can see a screenshot here:

And with the millions and millions of eBay users, I assume tracking them down is relatively easy.

Different usernames would lead one to believe it was not the auction host making the bids.

You really are an idiot. So there has been 6 bids now, do you believe each one is from the auction host? Everyone seems to want the forum to be sold yet numerous people still deem it necessary to keep sticking their ore in.
