Just to let you know, I donated a fiver to him a short while back in order to (as I was led to believe) provide those last few dollars towards purchasing the domain. Now, he says that he's only got £4.70 which is what I gave him minus PayPal fees.

Why not brush up on your skills a little and attempt some more work? You only gave 1 shot with your template sale, and what seems to be nothing else. That domain name will come faster if you simply earn a little extra money than waiting to find that 'lucky 1 in a million website with discounted domains.'
