Currently the prices on ebay for an ipod are way higher then they are on apple.com because the waiting line from the apple store is over 4 weeks or something like that. I hesitated when buying one back in February this year, as I had a Net MD.

However, I went out and purchased a brand new 10Gb 3rd G model.

And I fell in love with it. It is one of the best technological item I had.

Mine is on charge via firewire right this second, I blasted it out yesterday for a good few hours when I went grocery shopping

What do you they typically run for (too lazy to look up costs). I'm afraid that if I bought one I wouldn't use my money's worth.

I got mine second hand for £100, for this I got:

15Gb Pod
iPod Controller headphones ( £30 retail )
iPod Belkin Car Charger (£30 retail )
iPod Stainless Steel Case (around £15-£20 retail)
and a USB2 / Firewire Cable

I couldnt be happier with it, to be honest I WOULD pay full price for one!
