  Old  Help needed for "floating" image

On my three StoreFront pages I've added B&H ads. On my longest page http://donwiss.com/pictures/BrooklynStores/ you can see a single B&H ad at the top of the right table column. The page is long. I'd like that ad to remain in view as the people scroll down.

I found a page doing what I want. I looked at the source code. It is beyond me to understand it. Based on the image size it is in this code:

<div id="bnslsp3" style="height: 600px; width: 160px; display: block;
padding-left: 3px;">
<!-- BEGIN RAW TAG - 160 x 600 - ROS: Run-of-site - DO NOT MODIFY -->
<IFRAME name="bnr3" id="bnr3" style="position: absolute; z-index: 10;"
FRAMEBORDER=0 MARGINWIDTH=0 MARGINHEIGHT=0 SCROLLING=NO WIDTH=160
HEIGHT=614 SRC="http://www.xxxxxx.com/cached/cpxr_pab.php"></IFRAME>
<!-- END TAG cpxr. -->
</div><script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
<!-- start opera fix
if(navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Opera")!=-1){

setTimeout('Scrollinit();',1500);
}
// -->
</script></td></tr></table></div>

[end of code excerpt]

How would I adapt that to my needs?

donwiss -

The code that you posted is not the code you're looking for, but it is a portion of it. Give me a few minutes and I'll toss together a quick example for you!

Best Regards,
Patrick

The difficulty I'm having is that the item is trapped inside of a table so it would be impossible to float it. One possible would be to make the entire page have a column on the right side the width of the image so it could always be on the top-right of the page? If so I have the code ready which could make it work so let me know!

Best Regards,
Patrick

Hi Patrick Paul,
The site that I took the code from had the image trapped inside a table column. It looked exactly like mine, except the image floated within the table confines. Unfortunately the site, demonoid.com, went down an hour or so after I took the code. And it is still down. From what I read they were also shut down in June, but then they came back up in a different country. So maybe it will again.

Hi again,
Checking google news the latest is Demonoid had a major server failure and is being rebuilt. If this is true, then the full example should be available soon.

Donwiss -

I think I have an idea of how to do it! The script that I modded allows you to put the X,Y coordinate of where you want it to be on the page. What I would do is put a blank div inside of the table cell, use some javascript to get it's coordinates on page load, and then use that as the floating location, let me do that real quick for ya!

Best Regards,
Patrick

Hi. Demonoid has come back up. Here is an example of what I want to do;
http://www.demonoid.com/files/?categ...2&query=&uid=0
However, in Firefox the ad does not appear. In IE7 you can see it working the way I want. So I guess the code will have to detect the browser and for Firefox, if it can't remain visible, then to revert back to a single ad at the top.

Here's the example in a URL that is short enough that it shouldn't get messed up. I see now that the ad along the right works fine in Firefox.
