 I need help deciding between two logos

One has a purple play button, the other has a blue play button.
I can only award one winner, and I know this is the design I like the best. Please vote so I know which one is better.

In the first one, if the paint brush was purple as well, it would make sense. But it isnt, so.. second one for me. I couldnt even tell what the difference was until I came back and read the first post. So in all fairness, which ever you choose, its still going to look the same. Unless you change the color of that purple to something that actually stands out.
If someone submitted that to me and only changed the color of the play icon, my thoughts would be around 'why did you bother?'.
In my opinion though, the second one, the one without any insignificant color variation, is the best one.

Without reading all the replies, I would have been looking at those two designs for while before I figured out the difference. My vote goes to number two.

I voted for the first one, although I agree with creativejen that it would have been better if the paintbrush was purple too.
