Opinions?

Could you give me your opinions of the layout and feel of this design?

It's meant to be simple, but I still think it's missing something pretty major. Any ideas what?

It looks very distorted in Firefox. You should try and fix that up.

that and Im not really liking the red backround either or where the website is at on the page(top)

Woah man, take a look at it in IE then firefox...might want to clean that up and the red background. Load time seems a bit slow tho.

Yeah, that looks almost completely different in Firefox (which is the browser you should code for first as it's standards compliant). And I think the only real issue with the design other than that is the red background color.

i don't usually like red but in this case i think it looks great! its bright vibrant and shows life. i liked that there wasn't too much on the page. its calm. yet alive.

It was very difficult to navigate do to it's distortion in firefox.

Distorted in ff for me too. I think the background is ok. I dont like the font used in the images though. The text in the lower right doesn't look proper when right aligned. Maybe use justify instead. It also needs to be taller or centered vertically.
