  Old  Suggestion?

Hey tfl,

If this is in the wrong place then sorry, I just have a suggestion to help make tfl better. I have read the posts on this forum about yaxay/wht e.t.c and they both have the same problem, the problem being to many young designers uncutting every other designer... when tfl becomes a larger forum this will also occur :/ but I have a solution ! I also used to visit designoutpost and if a designer wants to register there you have to sumit a portfolio, if your work is not up to the required standard then you cant join..

This would stop great forums gradually becoming "infested" lol and would make it a better place? this would also attract more people wanting quality work done only by selected designers with folio's.

what you guys think ? p.s sorry for long boring post the end? lol

I think you must have missed something BoxedPixels (http://www.talkfreelance.com/apply.php)

This is for the official design team which will be launching in the new year.

Qualified in what way? Academic past, portfolio, interviews.... Who are you to say someone is qualified (and a freelancer for that matter?) enough to participate in contests?

Yes, of course! We have a application form available here http://www.talkfreelance.com/apply.php. Users who are accepted to the design team will be allowed to enter contests held at talkfreelance.

The aim of this is NOT to hand select a few designers, i am not going to stop people from having the freedom to participate in a contest. The majority of applications i have recieved (around 20 odd now) will be approved. I am basing the approvals on their experience, portfolio and history (online).

I have had several people apply who are known to have ripped people off and copied other peoples work, this is one of the reasons for this approval stage.

I may not have the right to judge others qualifications, but as administrator of this forum i would like to see great contests with excellent results and this facility will hopefully allow for this.
