Why would you switch to a Mac?

I know there must be quite a few Mac users here who probably started out on computers with windows, for what reason did you make the change? I have been brought up on windows and i've used Macs before but I would never want to change, I can't see any benefits from using a Mac at all.

I think alot of people buy Macs because of the connotation that's associated with them, they're very good looking compared with computers and they're almost always branded in the latest films being used by the lead star. I often here that it's better to design on a Mac, why? What is the different between designing on my 3ghz PC or designing on an apple?

Anyone thinking about making the switch? Anyone all ready made the switch?
