I've heard a lot of great stuff about JQuery and I've experimented with it a few times.

I wouldn't exactly call it easier, since you have to learn new functions, methods, etc. but the syntax is definitely simpler.

I've just started playing around with jQuery and I find the best method to learn it is to play around with other scripts and plugins, that way you can see what each change makes as you go, before you get into developing your own scripts etc.
