LOL, is that really all the podcasts are? (I've never heard them). It's not exactly rocket science. The thing is 50% of the 250 people you will probably have on MSN anyway (as the only people who register are the people who lick his arse) therefore you're paying $15 to talk on a forum to the same people you do on a day to day basis.

I guess Lee wants more money...
I'm not signing up due to the fact that I don't really like to listen to podcasts.

I guarantee you Rob, pick any of the podcasts at random and you'll hear that same advice I listed in one form or another. Don't get me wrong, it works. But people don't need to pay $15/mo to learn it.

Feros, you forgot #6
6. Have a launch contest to generate activity
I'm hoping that they will discuss alternative ways of generating activity in the beginning. As I'm a strong believer that contests just generate spam-y posts.

lol, I don't understand why people have forums/sites dedicated to making forums work, if people didn't spend so much time reading/listening and posting on these sites and spent more time actually working on theirs then maybe they would have more than 100 members and a few thousand posts.

You can listen to podcasts while you work.
I completely understand all of your views.
Kewl, nothing has really started yet.

I don't think I'll be joining. I agree with Robson 100% on this to be honest.... and Feros has brought up some good points too.
I have to say though well done to Lee! He's exploited the forum market through posting on webmaster boards with earning info / info about his sites. He now has a huge group of followers, which he could sell just about anything to!

personally i tried listening to one podcast and i shut it down pretty soon, it wierded the hell out of me. I don't think i've heard nerdier "talk show hosts," and the jokes were corny as hell too. I tried to keep listening for any useful information but all they talked about was the shows name and how good they are doing and all the comments they got on the preview podcasts... I don't know what the big fuss is about
