  Old  vent section?

i think this place could use a goot spot to vent.

i don't like posting vent topics in GD because i feel that's more for topics that have real discussion value to them beforehand rather than forming one out of frustration.

is it just me?

It depends what you want to vent about, general discussion is for anything unrelated to the other sections pretty much, it doesn't need to be a well structured debate.

actually it's pretty much the furthest thing from a real debate. just a place for people to let off some steam. it's on the fence of pointless spam, only usually people can relate to venting and discussion evovles from similar experiences. also gives another insight to character.

for example, if i get stressed about school be it rediculous/unethical lectures/project requirrments, or just nonsense i run into from the students, soemtimes it helps to just let off some steam in an environment where people can relate. trying to vent to my roomates just results in "what is actionscripting?".

imo, venting is a specific topic, so i keep it out of GD. it's just a thought. +)

Thing is derek, we probably don't have much call for rants/venting, I haven't actually seen this come up before and have only read a few rants by myself and Anthony Creating a section for one person wouldn't be worth it.

I think you should post it in the General Discussion, It's general and we can discuss the topic at hand, get it off your chest old boy

Gd's not a problem. i was just reflecting on somethings tonight, and i could amke a good 3 or 4. i figured if i had at least 1 on a bi-daily basis, maybe everyone else does too and would arrent it. or maybe i'm just irritated easier than others.

Actually Rob, remember before you banned Stephen you had to make a sub-forum under general discussion just for his rants!
