  Old  Mini-Notebooks, who uses them?

I really like them. I don't drive, I bike everywhere, so it's nice to have a laptop that is a little over 2lbs in my backpack with me.

I want to know who else has one and can help me out a bit. I have an older EeePC 900 8.9" (has Hackintosh, Ubuntu, and XP) and it can not stream HD on Vimeo or Hulu. I want to find one that could stream HD so I can watch my tv shows online (hence the limited storage on the laptop itself). The Intel GMA 950 would be able to do this with a 1.6GHz Atom, right?

Oh, and, I am looking into a 6-cell.

Anyone want to suggest me what they think is their best choice?

I know of:
-ASUS EeePC
-MSI Wind
-Dell Mini 9
-Acer Aspire One

Thanks

I have an EEE 1000. (http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/610834...e/Product.html)

It's perfect for me, I have to walk a fairly large distance to uni most days and this fits easily in my bag (it's very light too). It's lightening quick, boots up"EEEBuntu" in around 25 seconds and the battery lasts at least 5 hrs on normal settings.

I defiantly would recommend it.

Inspiron Mini 9 looks the best visually.

I've yet to have bad luck with Dell. (Never tried a mini, though.)

You're kidding, right?

The new HP Mini 1000 looks much nicer in my opinion. Here's a review: http://www.engadget.com/2008/10/29/h...1000-hands-on/

I was talking about the ones posted in the OP. Although, Mini 9 still looks better.

I'm not sure what the exact model number is, but there is an HP netbook out there for a good price and impressing specs (1.6 atom, 1gb ram, 160gb HD etc.)

Even though I don't like HP, I want that netbook

My brother has the Dell Mini 9, according to him he loves it (he has 2 mini laptops, so it's his style)

Personally, I hate it, the keyboard is soo small that is makes typing a hassle. The light weight is a huge plus though!

It all depends on your needs, if your going to be carying it around and don't want to know its there until you need it, then getting a mini is the best option.
