I have a few questions: - Which page is to be designed?
Are we to design a homepage and separate subpage layouts...
- Are we desiging for the CMS admin interface, or a default theme for the frontend? Both?
If it's a backend, what features need to be there?.. I guess the same goes for frontend... what features need to be there?
- What if the designer uses Fireworks rather than Photoshop (no psds)?
- What is the target audience for your CMS? Business, first-time-cms-user, etc...
- Why such a short deadline originally?

1.) The admin page design
2.) CMS admin interface
3.) Doesnt matter, as long as I can code it into HTML/XHTML/CSS
4.) Both, its targeted for all audiences
5.) Mainly because I wanted to get a public demo up ASAP. But I realize its going to take time. Sorry for that.
Any more questions? Feel free to ask.

Mike, we need as much information as possible about the admin interface and what it will consist of. It's all well and good saying, "Go design me an admin interface" but there are so many things which might or might not be included in there that just a quick list of what needs to be in there will be invaluable.

2 weeks is fine with me. As for details, here I go:
Basically I want it to look somewhat like the IPB 2.0 admin interface, with smooth looking graphics (bars, etc...).
I dont want this to be very complex or anything so keep it somewhat simple. Make it like the IPB 2.0 admin interface except give it some uniqueness (if thats even a word).
Details:
Left navigation
Logo in the header
The left nav will be drop down, similar to IPB 2.0, so make those parts as welll.
I want this to be a smooth, clean style.
I want this to be colorful as well, I dont want it to be plain, and bland. I like the TFL colors, but maybe go for something different (color wise).
As for the content area, I need a place for:
- Welcome to the CMS (basically there will be a small welcome message and I need an icon that says "Your up to date" and "You need to update!" (nothing big as for the icon, could just be a little text with a stroke or something).
- A place for Recent Updates (this will show what has been done in the admin area so far) and a small chat area (where admins can post small chat logs).
- Last 5 users in the admin area
- Quick User Search
Anything else you feel would make it look cool, or if you have something unique you would like to see in a CMS, please put it there. I'm aiming for this CMS to be one of the best CMS's out there. This CMS is not aimed at any particular type of website. It's all modular based and I will be releasing different packages for different types of sites (i.e. gaming package for a gaming site, blog package for a blog site, etc...).
I thank you all for taking the time to read this and if you have ANY questions please feel free to ask me. I'll be out of town this upcoming week for a few days but i'm hoping Robson will start the contest tonight or something!
Regards,
