  Old  Seo???

Hello TF Community!

I am a business consultant who is going to offer SEO as a service to my clients. I will be looking for freelance SEO specialist that can provide quality SEO. I understand that different types of businesses, either small or large will require SEO that is specific to the type of business and size. With that being said could you please explain how I should approach my clients when speaking of estimation of price? Typical businesses I will assist will be locally based businesses specializing in either retail or service. If there is any information that you would like to offer, please do!

Thanks,

James

Ps. I will approach these clients with regards to changing their old school ways of print to digital. Obviously replacing their yellow pages budget into SEO fees. I look forward in hearing from you.

Hi James,

There isn't a particularly short way to answer this question so I will try not to bore you while coving as much as possible.

Firstly, your potential SEO clients should know about their competitors websites and search results in search engines. When providing SEO services, it's important to know how to research competitor websites and serves, and how they affect the client.

Secondly, you will need to have the client determine the extent of SEO they require. SEO itself is an ongoing process to remain ahead of competition. Are your clients looking for local results, or are they wanting to target more specific keywords? Perhaps they are looking to place number one for a search on "automotive repair" when realistically they are based in Kentucky and should be targeting their local area for "[local area] automotive repair".

Things like this usually take a good consultation to establish with SEO clients, then its your job to know how to deliver the result they are looking for, and even then placing first for some search terms isn't possible, so you and your clients will need to know this.

Third, how semantic is the websites HTML structure? How are the images named for that website? and are you wiling to offer truly organic SEO to your potential clients and existing SEO clients?

Some SEO tweaks and alterations that you should know about are:

• Monitor competitor ranking
• Maintain HTML structure
• Create and maintain breadcrumbs
• Manage internal and external site links
• Create and maintain back-links
• Link building
• Optimize images for search results
• Create maintain and adjust website page titles and descriptions

I hope that helps answer your question James. If there is anything else I can assist you with regarding SEO, graphic design or web design, please let me know.

PS: I don't believe you will be able to PM me as I just joined the forum. (Mainly to answer this question) However, i'm sure if you stay on topic we can discuss it in this thread?

Joe.
