Old  Raising money to start your business?

I have a load of business ideas, most of them I have the money to get started but one in particular i'm about $10,000 short to funding, i'm just wondering if there are any reliable ways to fund or raise money for an idea? I've heard of something called the princes trust in England, they offer loans for start up businesses but i'm not sure I would be eligable (due to the nature of the business).

How did you raise the money to start your current business? Talkfreelance was actually purchased quite cheap, I raised the money from selling a banner business I built up a few years ago.

We have a foundation here in Norway where you can ask for money ( offcourse there are rules around it ), basicly what they do is to give you/a group money for the project you are doing... Anything from a website, gaming-clan, theater, festival etc.

Ive used it a few times and its a big help.

Would be interesting to know if there are any of these such organizations here in Canada.

Write a business plan, then go to a bank Although this is kind of obvious, but there arent many other places that will give you £10,000 unless you have a unique idea that an invester would be interested in.

Robson, my friends were saying about that fund system in the UK, but i don't know much about it.

This is just a thought, but could you take out student loan, and just use it for your business?
