It's a good idea. Unless the business one takes off, you always have the freelance thing to fall back on, and if you've already got a working portfolio up and ready, it'll make things a lot easier.

I just think "Microvisuals" would be a decent name for a company, it doesn't suit a one person entity as much. This way you can bring in a coder to do the xhtml/css or any php elements you require

I also think clients are more inclined to go with a professional setup rather than a kiddie on there own! You could go with two sites, but that's just more work for you in the long term and i doubt it will make any difference.

Yeah I see what you mean. But in some ways having a personal portfolio as opposed to a business orientated website allows people to see how creative you really are.

I mean it's more suitable to be highly original in a personal portfolio, than it is to be uber creative on a business design.

have both. . . clients can visit the business site and your personal portfolio can be for when your applying for positions or whatever, but like Robson said two sites = twice as much work so its upto you, go for something in between the two
