i was constructive today :D

today i started learning by doing, PHP that is
i got tired of the crappy boring ebooks i had read and decided i needed practical work to learn instead

anyway i started this about 1pm its not finshed yet but almost done
my very own handcrafted shoutbox!

i used many php tutorials (not a shoutbox tutorial tho)
tuts i used
writing from a database
reading from a database
deleting a row from a database
alternating row background colours
replacing text for image
a few more i forgot prolly validation stuff

anyway i made my dream shoutbox sort of
it has
php running off a mysql DB, smilies, html blocking, some minor validation, nice css, a counter at the bottom, quick message posting,
i love it dont spam tho but go nuts

the smilies are : P : ) : D without spaces

i had quiet i bit of help figuring out how to connect but the tutoirals gave me ideas on how to fix stuff
tis 1.30am im off to bed

mind if I try to exploit it, help you work with your PHP security skills
edit: well, i'm not expert at SQL injections, but from what i've been trying, you seem pretty safe..
