I found this amazing software today and it should definitly appeal to a large majority of the members here  In some respects it's like Microsoft project but it's been designed with freelance designers in mind.

Sorry, Dasani. The application is only offered as a web-based service, not as a standalone application. Check out the free trial, though; it really is good. I use it myself in my own freelance.

you have to pay for it :/
why not use an open source script that has the same or sometimes even more features?
i've found some excellent ones at sourceforge.net and freshmeat.net but i don't have the direct links anymore.
