How to promote my site?

Hey, looking for some advise on how best to promote my new site.

In the past i've generally run sites that have a steady ammount of people visiting daily, however never from scratch.

The site, as you probably guessed is Blogitize.

So if you've got any advice you could send my way, i'd be more than grateful

Buy backlinks from directories with high PR and from sites relevant to yours

Article submission, directory submission are the few methods to get traffic.

Write articles and submit to the article sites for some reason i have gone brain dead and can not think of them right now. Besides that run a PPC campaign and see how that runs out. Talk on forums about this subject get backlinks with other sites on this subject get ranked on google and it will all start to form.

Organic search engine traffic is the best. Try and do SEO things and improve your ranks in the serps. Read http://www.netbusinessblog.com/ for tips. Notice how I linked you to NBB because they have good info? Well thats how Matt builds backlinks. He writes good content, and people link to it. Thats what you need to do. Invest more in the search engines than purchasing PPC or banner ads. Here is an example why. Maybe try and talk to Bazza who has a similar site, he may be willing to throw up some tips.

Awesome, things are starting to look a little clearer.
