how do you come up with great color schemes and gradients ?
I have tried but Nothing really comes out like how everyone else does there templates and designs

Use an online colour schemer, or better yet, use one that you have either purchased, or freely downloaded.

I use ColorImpact ($49.95 US), before I purchased that I used to use http://www.snapfiles.com/get/csdesigner.html, a free version.
