  Old  Auto Download?

Hey, i'm pretty sure that this uses javascript but I could be wrong, I'm trying to find out how to embed a file into a website so that when the page is loaded, the download starts automatically, can anyone help me? I've been searching Google but nothing seems to come up :/. I know someone here must know how its done thanks!

Try putting:

Code:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="3;URL=URL_to_document">
In the header of your document. '3' respresents the number of seconds before the page or document is loaded. You can use this method and link directly to the file you wish to download.

If you setup an iframe and use add target="iframename" to the above meta, you can get the download to work without having to refresh/change the current page.
