I get a lot of 800x600 hits. Almost half.

Do you think that it's ok to design sites with a minimum res requirement of 1024x800 (800x600 users can scroll side ways if needed) or should the 800x600 still stick?
Shackbase, you are asking for comments on resolutions standards, I gave my opinion.

I don't care if you want to make sites larger than the minimum standard, that's your problem. All I was doing was commenting on the current standards employed by most designers. The reason why it is called a standard is because so many people adhere to it. If you don't want to then expect to lose visitors.

whoa - where did that come from - why do you feel the need to defend yourself by attacking me? I asked for oppinions, I got some and I respected everyones thoughts and I appreciated the input, so what are you talking about?

And you are right, they are called standards for a reason but once upon a time you needed to make your site ie3 and netscape 4 compatible; these days I doubt too many of you really bother making sure you follow antiquated standards.

So my question stands and I have gotten many responses both pro larger and pro smaller - and I am not discrediting any so chill dude; nobody is out to get you.
