and for the record, it's not hard to code tableless xhtml without sacrificing the design aesthetics.

I have to agree with Alex and Derrek on this one.
Although you have some good elements in your article the rest is an opinion that should not be imposed on others.
As for all the XHTML and CSS comments, I agree only to the extent that you actually use the XML part of that coding language, if not just stick to tableless CSS/HTML coding.
One last thing i have to point out / rag on is that you say no pro templates, yet you ask readers to go to your site which is entirely based on these such "pro" templates.
And i leave you with a question about your site,
Why are you using tables for non tabular data?

As I have stated before, my post was opinions, and I have a freedom of speech therefore I can impose how I wish.
Also, I said not to look at pro websites such as templatemonster.com speaking of their flash design work, their other templates are great too, but too many people I know get too depressed by looking at the amazing quality.
Thirdly, I use tables simply because it is a sinch to code, it is extremely easy to edit and I like it. That's why.

What a terrible statement. You have A LOT to learn.
You don't do something on a site that compromises the ease for visitor and accessibility for your own "ease". Sites are meant to be easy for people to use, to be able to access it well, your site isn't. Using Divs is easier imo.

They aren't members, nor are they customers. I don't really care about opinions of people who don't even use my site.

Hey..He made this article for free and for beginners. If you think that you guys can make a better article than him then just make it. This article is not for the advanced designers..90% of what he is saying is right in a beginner point of view. A beginner make flat xhtml+CSS design, a beginner make boring unprofessional FLASH, a beginner doesn't know how to use gradient propretly...etc.
Don't be so rought, he made an excellent (and complete) article for them.

I know, depends on your resolution, plugins and the kind of browser you are using (especially the rendering engine).

I can't talk for most "newbies", but I don't really think this will help much. Especially about #1, I learned a lot from tutorials when I started out!
