  Old  Wireless Notebook card?

Well, Dell Chat is crap, and I just realisied it.

I went there asking what I should get, becuase I want a better wireless card, because when im on wireless around my house, and not hardwired, my internet is terribly' slow, and I want a card that gives me either just as fast, or a faster connection if possible, without hardwiring.

I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM I wanted one only to pick up my router's signal, not a SATELITE WIRLESS CARD TO GET BROADBAND WIRELESS ANYWHERE, and i specifically said I wanted something with NO MONTHLY PAYMENTS.

He gave me this link:
http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?...3-4357&cat=snp

said it was the only one, and to have a nice day.. alright cool, it was what im looking for, im satisified.

I read the specs, and it is infact a verizion satelite wireless card, what I DIDINT WANT.

So I come to you guys, asking if anyone knows of a wireless card, for an upgrade to just up my internet speed, as much as possible? It has to fit my Dell E1505..

I would ALWAYS recommend linksys. Linksys for router, and wireless cards. Specifically this one.

A little off topic, but why not get a new phone (palm) and use the "Act like router" feature.

Wow, fast replies,

Im looking into Amaze's and Vizions Third card, (the same one)

And do you think that will act faster then me being actually hardwired to my router, by any chance or no?

And does getting a new router, will that effect my wireless? Because My father said that he has to hardwire his PC in his room, becuase he has a wireless card in his PC, and he gets crap reception too, and thinks its the router, and said that he would just buy a new router..

would that speed up the wireless speeds? and would it be worth it to get a card, if we are just going to get new router? (Im trying to get him to get us a 300MBPS one )

Wireless routers do make a difference. If you are going to change that I suggest this which is the best one with reviews at the moment, and I have it. Link. If you want to go larger and better buy this.

Yes, definitely.

Another overlooked thing, is to make sure your wireless router's firmware is up to date, because I remember when I first got mine... any and every site with google content (adsense) on it LOADED extremely slowly until I updated the firmware. With linksys, this took less then 5 mins, since installing and upgrading is almost instant by the click of a mouse. Yes, your router can not necessarily increase your routers speed, but it might make it seem so, because it will perform better compared to older ones.

I personally use this one, and would recommend it, if you have a bigger budget go for this one.
