  Old  In need of help.

Now look, I respect the work I see here and that's why I'm asking for some help - don't kick the crap out of guy.... be gentle I bruise easily
Now that that's out of the way, I've desinged a little site and am already weary of the colour scheme but as I'm no designer or coder quickly redoing the whole thing is not an option at present. My question to you all is, "what colours can I add to the pages to help liven up the look of things a bit?".
I've tried with the tabs but for the tips and any subsequent pages to be added, maaaan, I just can't seem to come up with anything I like so I'm hoping some of you folks are willing to make a few kind suggestions.
Thank y'all.

Hey, the problem is the entire site doesn't have a focus, it doesn't have one particular colour scheme running thoughout. Most sites will choose 1-2 colours and then play around with various shades, on talkfreelance we have just blue and green and then lighter variations which creates a nice environment

Looking at your design I can see, greys, reds, oranges, pinks, purples etc. Too many colours and too many colours that clash with each other. I think your main problem is the header image though, it totally offsets the rest of the design. You could try changing the buttons "What's new!" and "News" etc to a purple shade to match the header background......and then change the "Gallery update" bit as well.

The layout and design of the site look good.
For color scheme inspiration I use this site.

I think changing your font to a serif would do more for that site than anything.

Red in small doses goes well with gray, get rid of the orange tab thingy.

Have some kind of nice mouseover effect for your top navigation.

Do not change the mouse pointer! that's a huge no-no and I hate it. As soon as I see that in sites I go straight for the X, and I am not the only person online to do so.
