Personally, I wouldn't touch any domain extension apart from .com, .net and .co.uk

.name has got to be the worst of the bunch. It was originally proposed as a double extension domain name. The original restriction was that you could only register the third level portion; for example, you couldn't register 'smith.name' but you could register 'john.smith.name'.
The intent was noble but the concept was flawed. They wanted everyone to have a shot at registering his own surname but if they would have thought a bit further they would have realised this couldn't be; there are millions of John Smiths but only one person can have john.smith.name, for instance.

.ca rules... although I would never get one... unless I was the government.
I don't usually consider getting anything but a .com or a .net.

I doesn't see the point of the new .jobs? Honestly! I looked to see if steve.jobs was available, but its already been taken The other one I hate is eu.com, and uk.com and all them!

.name is definately useless. I just hate .tk because of the amount of free sites with it.
I would only get domains with: .com, .co.uk, .org, .net.

So true, who would actually pay for a .tk? It'd make your site seem unprofessional.

I have to agree on this one, though I wouldn't go so far as to say that I hate it but it does sound a little sleezy somehow. Anything with a double period (.) in it doesn't look right to me.
