  Old  how?

how can I do this

Ive been working on spelling my name, but its kinda sloppy. I just took a letter, filled it to 0% then stroked the path. Then shrunk the letter down say 30px, and repeat it again and again. Now, this only works for the "J" and sometimes the O, but not the N or S. Is there an easier way of accomplishing this technique? I figured theres probably a way in illustrator, but I still dont know my way around that program yet.

Use "Offset Path" function instead of scaling the letters.

Thanks. At first everytime I went to save in Ai it kept saying "unknown error". Somehow I got it to save though, and im loading them in photoshop. They look a lot more smooth in it.
