I was just about to post this, I'm interested in seeing some integration between the software (e.g photoshop and flash) obviously I doubt anything new will be released anytime soon, maybe in a year or so though. Wonder if this spells the end of fireworks?

Sure, but are there any specific features in fireworks that photoshop doesn't have? and should have? This will allow for a complete monopoly by Adobe, I mean before there was a split decision, fireworks vs photoshop etc. When companies buy out their competition it's not always for the best, sometimes they slack off on their creative processes and end up neglecting their customers, producing half arsed software. I mean, what software can possibly compete with photoshop, flash? Adobe could quite easily save alot of money by sitting back and doing nothing, they don't need to keep improving their software and adding new features now, at least not until another major player steps into their market share.

I'm not happy about this at all. It will be interesting to see what happens to both companies' lines of software.

i beg to differ, fireworks can do most of what photoshop can do, most people just dont know how and want to take the time to learn. I'll take my Fireworks mx 04 over ps 9 anyday

This is insanely cool, imagine photoshop, and flash, and dreamweaver, mixed into one, with fertilizer!
