easiest way to design static site that is easily editable by client?
I am doing a simple redesign of a business card type site, just one page with info on the client, like her current blogs, social media links, etc.
the design part is no issue, but the key request is that she wants to be able to easily update it with new information (new conference she is attending for example)
Trying to come up with a good method to do this, wordpress is obviously too bulky for such a site (literally one page) but coding it in html would be fine for me, hard for her - I could comment out the parts she can edit, but even then she would have to scroll around and find each section, so I am wondering if there is a SMALL CMS or similar way to do this....
thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Actually, I haven't had any problems with instructing new clients on how to manage a WordPress site - usually only takes an hour or so, and they're off running.

solutions posted on stackoverflow are meant as a guidance/tip/fyi and should generally not be used in "production" since it might lack security and sanitization.
check modxcms.

Just took a look at modxcms myself, and it definitely looks promising. Thanks for the reference, cableguy.

thanks cableguy and Steve- she understands wordpress just does not need another wordpress site to edit, KWIM? She just wants a simple 1page static site with the few content sections easily changed, got a bunch of ideas at modxcms already!

I'm so dense - I had to look up KWIM. Thank goodness for Google. Let us know how modxcms works out. I'll probably do some reading on it this weekend.

Concrete 5 is pretty simple and nifty CMS for more static sites.

Check out http://www.pagelime.com
It's free, easy to use and will do the job for your client without your help (well once you show them how to use it).
