i was browsing a forum and found the new that google is going to lunch its own open source Operating System.

is that true? any of you heard this ?

what you people think, can google beat microsoft?

At least they are trying, there is space for new OSes. They will try to profit their rank and lots of people will check it and some will remain loyal.

Sounds a bit strange trough (but I won't be surprised) as they use a modified version of Ubuntu Linux in offices as far as I know.

i think you may be wrong

computer get smaller and smaller and are now closer to a mobile device than a real computer

and smaller devices means less ressources , this is why such OS like android are exactly what those devices need , and android based notebook are already on their way

I cant agree with you completely. May be they can outperform microsoft and nobody knows what is gonna happen. I like each and every approach of google and their every innovative work. I still remember those days when they first started off and now see they are the leader.
