I'm not going to butt in or anything but i just read this topic and thought how about you get some sponsors for this. Maybe find some hosting companies to advertise in the topic and give money prizes out or something. I'm sure you can work fom there. Anyways, im not much of a coder so i can't join you guys :P.

I can put it all together, but I'd still like to compete, so I won't be a judge. If anyone has a design laying around they don't want, or would like to volunteer one, please let me know.

I'll compete if we get good judges like Andrew R and Indy. Speed coding is fun.

daz: I'm competing. Depending if none of you mind (since I'd be organizing it, however I wouldn't judge).. also depending how busy I am when we hold it.

No, you should be able to code it how you want, its your coding..
i have a few designs that can be used if wanted
http://www.freshdepths.com/portfolio/
however i think 2 of them are sold, so those 2 are out.

It could be a good ongoing competition that would allow people that can't afford coders to get their designs coded and coders to gain prestige

That one could work, it's got a bit in it which could show many different skills and such..
Also, hacks will be allowed, you will just code as you can, however I'd like to see hacks shown as demerits, and hurt your chances.
