  Old  need help on swirl

I'm trying to recreate the swirl design from winery logo on the webpage listed below. I'm working on redoing the winery's brochure, but i didn't do the wine label and don't have access to the psd for it. The only way that I know of to do is to draw lines and then warp them. Is there another way, or would this be the best way to do it? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Toni

The easiest way, for me at least, would be to use Illustrator or other vector program.

It's really not that difficult. I'd be more than happy to help you with it if you like.

It looks like it could just be a typeface.

If you screenshot the website, and cut out the logo and then submit it to http://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ you may be able to find out what it is.

Alternativly, I'm with chaka, vector would defiantly be the best way round it.

If you've got any experience with the pen tool in Adobe Photoshop you'll be able to re-make it in Adobe Illustrator as a vector. This will give you the ability to resize the logo as much as you like without any distortion.

Below is a few links to Pen Tool tutorials:

Hope this helps,
Adam

i wondered that myself. i went to the thread and didn't see it, but i did see the message in the email notification. I checked my fonts to identify it, but it couldn't, so i've loaded it to the forum. i haven't used the pencil tool much, but i'll try it. i'm waiting for a tablet i purchased to arrive, so that should help a lot.

Actually I wouldn't use the Pen tool with a tablet, as you have to deal a lot with angles which could prove quite hard.

Did you try using What the Font to identify the typeface?
