Basically what the title says, it just allows people to get up their posts easily. What do you think?

It's fine how it is, as far as I see it the only thing you gain from post count is a custom title. Other than that, post count is a useless item.

If new members just reply to Member Introductions they can get into the marketplace in an instance, which ruins the point of having to get that small reputation to do so. It also encourages spam.

I have to disagree; spam, is an unwanted message. If someone posts in the Members Introductions forum (even to increase their post count), they're welcoming new members and thus wouldn't be spam. This would/could also build them a reputation (as you mentioned) of being a friendly person.

There are augments for both sides: people shouldn't post in the Members Introduction forums (or anywhere else) to increase their post count. They should do so because they want to welcome the new members.

But personally, I think it's fine as it is.

A post is a post, regardless of where it is posted. Why shouldn't it count as such? If posting in Introductions shouldn't count, neither should any other forum as they're all equally as easy to spam in.
