I think the war on Iraq was based on the simple fact George Bush always wanted to get Saddam. The fact he could not capture Bin ladin also aided in his case. I don't think it was for the oil as much....but i really think the whole "war on terror" case was complete bull.
Well yes the main goal was to get saddam! In fact, Saddam was in the Ba'ath party in Iraq which it was a communist party! The current prime minister of Iraq which was hired by Bush was with Saddam in the same party! So I guess that Bush doesnt want to free Iraq as well as he want the oil! And buidling a dictatorship is easier than hiring a democratic leaders
