Design Offers & Requests

Well we all visit that section to either sell or buy layouts and other web design related things. I, my self as a seller and buyer noticed many negative things coming from users that put the thread offtopic and make it seem pointless.

I was thinking, maybe the staff can create another Rule thread that will list down the following.

1) Please do not comment on peoples design unless your willing to wish them good luck. It is not a Discussion market, it is an auction or a sale market.

2) Please do not comment on the price of the product being sold, it is not for you to decide what this artist's work is worth.

3) Please do not try to sell your services in other peoples thread. If you want to sell your services, create a new topic for it.

4) Auctions should only be meant for bidding therefore you do not post unless you have a bid. You may also wish good luck to the bidders but nothing less then that.

5) Please do not bump your thread due to inactivity in your sale. The best thing to do is create another thread and try to sale your services again.

I think this additions could be useful and make the market a bit more clear. Tell me what you think

Yeah, those could be useful. I like #2 and #5.

I think they should just have a thread that people can only view. And if someone has a question they can have a help page on that template where the buyer would speak directly with them. Dunno, could work. :P

and whats the problem with that? Would gain more uniqueness.

The problem could come in a variety of ways..

One, when ugrading the forum, you may have to completely re-code this system.

It could cost alot to integrate this system.

Plus, if people just follow the rules, it would be a waste of time.

Meh, it's pretty simple to code to be honest, but I suppose you're right.

Yeah that would be simple to code. Let alone do it for a second time.

I still don't think you understand what I am aiming at here.. Basically, if people follow the rules, then why waste your time, and code a system, whether its easy or not.

#2 and #5 sound the best of all
