Hey All

So I know that having community and customer forums as a webhost is common and basic practise in this day and age, however I was wondering what everyones views were in regards to a design company having community forums.

It's something that I'm strongly considering giving a try, however do you feel that the design of the forum reflects the potential of the company it belongs to, or is it just a basic designed place for customers and interested parties to post and share their views, gather information, and communicate?

I'd like as many views on the subject as possible please

Thanks!

I don't think it's a good idea either. What's the point? If your customers need support they can ask you directly. For a webhost it's pretty valid because they get tons of support requests and customers often help out other customers. I don't see how this could apply to a design firm.

I can't see the point of a design company having a community forum. What would be discussed? You could instead do a concise FAQ instead.
